THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.1223 of 2017 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is that the authorities are not taking up survey and demarcation of their land in Sy.Nos.510, 515 and 517 of Waddepally Village, Hanamkonda Mandal, Warangal District.

It is an admitted fact that part of the petitioners' lands admeasuring Ac.1.05 gts in old Sy.No.510 and Ac.3.18 gts in old Sy.No.515 were acquired by the State for the purpose of establishing an Arts and Science College. It is the complaint of the petitioners that the authorities did not undertake the survey and demarcation of the acquired lands, so that they would be aware as to what still remains as their own private land after such acquisition. It appears that the Tahsildar, Hanamkonda, addressed letter dated 30.06.2016 to the Assistant Director, Survey and Land Records, Warangal, informing him that the request of the petitioners to undertake a survey of the subject lands could not be acceded to as the tippons of the survey numbers in question were not available with him.

The Tahsildar therefore requested the Assistant Director to arrange for demarcation of the subject lands. Though this letter was addressed as long as back as on 30.06.2016, the Assistant Director, Survey and Land Records, Warangal, has not taken appropriate action thereon.

SK, J W.P.No.1223 of 2017 petitioners as to what would remain as their own private land after such acquisition.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Assistant Director, Survey and Land Records, Warangal, to undertake the survey of the subject lands as requested by the Tahsildar, Hanamkonda Mandal, under his letter dated 30.06.2016, expeditiously and in any event, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Notice shall be given to the petitioners prior to such survey and demarcation so as to enable their participation.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs. ______________ SANJAY KUMAR, J 7th February, 2019 sj
