.( THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K.SURENDER CRIMINAL PETITION No.13738 OF 2016 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short "Cr.P.C') by the petitioneraccused to quash the proceedings against him in C.C.No.L29 of 20L6 pending on the file of the III Special Magistrate, Erramanzil, Hyderabad, filed for the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

On 18.08.2023, since there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, the case is posted to today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even though the case is posted under the caption 'for dismissal', today also there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

The case is of the year 2015. As seen from the record, no interim orders were passed by this Court earlier. The stage of the case before the lower Court is not known. Therefore, I find no reason to keep the petition pending and the same is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Criminal petition is dismissed for nonprosecution. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
