When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this Court that the petitioner has retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and therefore the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted at this point of time. In view of the said submission, the writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
