02.12.2024 KS,J I.A.NO.1 OF 2024 (Review Petition) Transferred to IO folder before corrections, if any Heard learned counsel appearing for the review petitioners/appellants and learned counsel appearing for the respondents. Perused the record.

Learned counsel for the review petitioners/appellants submits that there is a connected appeal vide M.A.C.M.A.No.1301 of 2013, which arise out of the very same accident, and the said appeal was decided on 12.02.2024 in which the liability was fixed against respondent Nos.1 to 5, who are the respondents herein also, and also awarded compensation with interest at the rate 7.5% per annum from the date of petition till realization. Therefore, prays this Court to review the Judgment dated 12.02.2024 passed in M.A.C.M.A.No.1287 of 2013 by fixing liability on respondent Nos.1 to 5 and awarded amount may be payable with the interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the Judgment dated 12.02.2024 passed in M.A.C.M.A.No.1287 of 2013 is hereby modified, directing respondent Nos.1 to 5 to pay a sum of Rs.7,25,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Twenty Five Thousand only) to the petitioners/appellants jointly and severally.

The petitioners/appellants are entitled to interest at the rate

of 7.5% per annum on the compensation amount from the date of petition till realization.
