This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the proceedings dated 13.10.2001 issued by the respondent placing the petitioner under suspension, as illegal and arbitrary. Since the petitioner had retired from service during pendency of the writ petition, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
