CVNR, J & GSP, J WP 19583/2018 ORDER: (per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of habeas corpus by directing the respondents to produce Godlaveeti Venkateswarlu, S/o. Venakatasubbaiah, R/o. Brahmanapalle Village, Cuddapah District (for short, "the alleged detenu"), before this Court and set him free.

At the hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader attached to the office of the learned Advocate General (AP) on instructions submitted that as the alleged detenu is an accused in Crime No.189 of 2016 of Sullurpet Police Station, registered for the offences punishable under Section 379 IPC, Section 29(2)(b) of the A.P. Forest Act, 1967, the A.P. Sandal Wood and Red Sanders Wood Transit Rules, 1969 and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984, he was arrested on 16.06.2018 by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Sullurpet Police Station, and produced on 17.06.2018 before the Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Sullurpet, who, in turn, remanded him to the judicial custody.

In the light of the above submission, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous.

CVNR, J & GSP, J WP 19583/2018 As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, I.A. No.1 of 2018 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
