HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION CASE No.141 of 2014 ORDER:

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "... to issue writ, order, direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in intimidating and harassing the petitioners to give confession statement that they are involved in pending theft cases and asking the petitioners to come to their office and keeping them for hours together as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondent Nos. 4th and 5th and officers of respondents 4th and 5th respondent not to interfere with in any manner with the petitioners' rights and not to call or harassing the petitioners in any manner."

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners informed this Court that the allegations made in the writ petition relating to intimidating and harassing the petitioners to give confession statement that they are involved in pending theft cases and asking them to come to their office and keeping them for hours together in police station does not survive and therefore the writ petition has become infructuous.

Taking into consideration the above submission, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.
