THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.31450 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is that the police authorities are not considering their complaint dated 05.06.2015 or registering a crime. In the light of the law laid down by a Constitution Bench in Lalita Kumari v. Government of U.P., the police authorities are bound to either register the F.I.R. or inform the complainant as to the reasons why such registration is not warranted. In terms of the afore-stated decision, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to take steps in the matter as per the law laid down by the Supreme Court in the afore-stated decision within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
