The case of the petitioner is that he has been working on contract basis from 02-05-2009 and as per G.O.Ms.No.444, dated 23-11-2002 it was mandatory for the candidates joining in the 2nd Post Graduation Degree (Super Specialty) Course to serve the Government for a minimum period of five years. In pursuance to the proceedings dated 23-04-2009 of respondent No.2, respondent No.3 requested respondent No.4 to admit the petitioner as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery by office order dated 02-05-2009 and thereafter also the petitioner has worked till 01-05-2014 and extended his contract service also from 02-05-2014 to till date by letter of the respondent No.4 in Rc.No.E1/NH/Contract/Ped.Surgery/2017, dated 29-08-2017 to respondent No.2 to continue his contract service. But the petitioner was not paid monthly salary from 02-05-2014 till date, even though he has been working against the sanctioned vacant post of Assistant Professor. As no action has been taken, the present writ petition is filed.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services.
Since respondent No.2 has addressed letter dated 18-12-2015, 24-09-2015 and 18-1202015 to the Government, it is for the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate decision.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate decision in the matter within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
