THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.26731 of 2012 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed assailing the inaction of the Station House Officer, Sarpavaram Police Station, Kakinada Rural Mandal, East Godavari District, upon the petitioner's reports dated 25.06.2011 and 26.08.2011.

The Inspector of Police, Sarpavaram Police Station, filed a counter-affidavit stating that the petitioner filed a report on 25.06.2011 stating that her valuable documents, being title deeds, went missing in an auto while she was undertaking a journey. The same was entered in the general diary but no action was taken thereupon as no cognizable case was made out for registration of a crime. The Inspector of Police further stated that the subsequent report dated 26.08.2011 alleged to have been filed by the petitioner was never received by the police authorities. However, it appears that the petitioner was summoned to the police station on 01.09.2015 and thereupon she submitted a fresh complaint basing on which Crime No.301 of 2015 was registered under Section 379 I.P.C. on the file of the Sarpavaram Police Station. The Inspector of Police stated that after completion of investigation, necessary steps would be taken.

In the light of the afore-stated developments, the grievance of the petitioner as to the alleged inaction on the part of the police authorities upon her complaint stands redressed. The writ petition is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
