Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

Petitioner claims to be owner and in possession of land to an extent of Ac.22.07 guntas, Kundanapally village, Keesara mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Grievance of the petitioner is that Tahsildarthird respondent issued mutation proceedings on 2.4.2017 mutating the name of third parties without prior notice and opportunity to petitioner. Aggrieved thereby, petitioner preferred appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer under Section 5-5 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971. The said appeal was acknowledged on 3.11.2018. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that even though appeal was received, same is kept pending and there is no progress in the appeal so far without any justification. Copy of the appeal along with acknowledgement is filed as Ex.P1.

In view thereof and without entering into the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer to expedite the hearing of the appeal and after affording due opportunity to both sides, dispose of the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

No costs.
