Mallikarjuna Bar And Restaurant, v. State Of Telangana,

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.33553 of 2017 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Prohibition & Excise.

When the matter is taken up, a letter bearing Cr.No.A2/743/2017 dated 04.10.2017, addressed by the District Prohibition & Excise Officer, Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy District, to the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Ranga Reddy District is placed on record. The said letters reads as under:

" I invite the kind attention to the subject and references cited. I submit that Sri N.Raju & (1) other licensee of M/s Mallikarjuna Restaurant & Bar, L.No.457 at premises Chaitanyapuri, Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District has submitted all the documents required for renewal of 2B Bar Licence for the year 2017-18. He has paid Rs.20,00,000/- vide Challan No.7789, dated 27.09.2017, SBI, Vanasthalipuram Complex Branch towards first instalment of annual Bar Excise Tax and due to submit B.Gs/FDRs for balance amount.

In view of the above, his licence is deemed to have been renewed for 2017-18.

The Bar Excise Tax of the above 2B Bar is Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees in words Forty lakhs only) including additional Bar Excise Tax for the year 2017-18. I therefore request to kindly register the above 2B Bar in TSBCL Portal for the year 2017-18 to enable the licence to lift the stocks".

On seeing the same, a request is made by the learned counsel to dispose of the Writ Petition by placing the said letter on record.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of, by placing on record the contents of the above said letter. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
