The grievance of petitioners in the present writ petition is inaction on the part of respondents in considering claims of petitioners for grant of pension, despite representation dated 03-11-2007.

According to petitioners, they are the residents of Dimmidijola Village, Nandigam Mandal, Srikakulam District and the Government of Andhra Pradesh formulated a scheme viz., "Indiramma Programme" for implementation of various beneficiary schemes like pension and housing etc. It is further stated that village of petitioners has been notified as 'Adarsa Panchayat' for the year 2002-03, as such they are entitled for grant of pension. At the hearing it is further submitted by the learned counsel for petitioners that the representation made by the petitioners may be directed to be disposed of by respondents in accordance with law and the same is not opposed by the learned Government Pleader and it is further submitted by learned Government Pleader that the same will be considered in accordance with law, if the scheme is in existence and if such a representation is pending. For the aforesaid reasons, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing Respondent No.1 to consider the representation, dated

03-11-2007, said to have been submitted by petitioners, in accordance with law, if not already disposed of and if the Scheme is in existence, as expeditiously as possible. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
