None appears for the petitioner and no representation is made on his behalf.

Challenging the promotion of the 3rd respondent as Deputy Executive Engineer, the present writ petition is filed by the petitioner.

While admitting the writ petition on 18.4.2003, this Court had not granted any interim order.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Executive Engineer, in any existing vacancies, if he is otherwise eligible and qualified. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
