HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.30915 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent-police not to interfere with the business activity of petitioners in manufacturing fireworks while their applications for renewal are pending before the competent authority. 2.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

The grievance of the petitioners is that they are licence holders and carrying on the business of manufacturing fire works and even while their applications seeking renewal of licence are pending before the competent authority, the respondents 4 & 5 are interfering with their business activity and seizing the stocks. 4.

Considering the circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"The respondents 4 & 5 are directed not to interfere with the business activities of the petitioners if it is established by the petitioners that they are having valid licences or they have already applied before the competent authority seeking extension of licences."
