HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.15778 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.178 of 2016 of Pebbair Police Station for the offence under Section 498-A of I.P.C. and Sections 2 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, the Public Prosecutor for the State of Telangana informed that the entire investigation in this case is completed and police filed Charge Sheet against the petitioners and the case was taken on file as C.C.No.491 of 2011 on the file of Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Wanaparthy. Therefore, at this stage, the proceedings in Cr.No.178 of 2016 cannot be quashed.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to challenge the proceedings in C.C.No.491 of 2011 pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Wanaparthy.
