ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue an appropriate order, direction or writ, more in the nature of writ of Mandamus directing respondent No.1 to communicate the result of the CAS interview of the petitioner for promotion as Professor of Zoology held in January, 2001, if necessary calling for the relevant records, and consequently direct respondent No.1 to pay the pecuniary benefits accrued to him on account of promotion to the post of Professor and revise the basic pension, and pass any other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice."

When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-University to communicate the result of CAS interview conducted in the year January, 2001 to the petitioner, if not already communicated, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
