THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.24144 OF 2004 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents herein in recategorizing the petitioners from Attender to Shramik and insisting to report at the Garrage during pendency of the dispute before the conciliation authority vide Proceedings No.E2/255(18)/2004, RM(Q), Kurnool, dated 23.11.2004, as illegal, unjust, contrary to Section 33 of the Industrial Disputes Act and without jurisdiction.

The learned Standing Counsel for A.P.S.R.T.C. submitted that the post of Attender was abolished long back. Now the Attenders are called as Shramik.

In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, the purpose of filing the writ petition has become infructuous.

Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
