THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Contempt Case Nos.1755, 1791, 1793 and 2078 of 2017 Common Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) These Contempt Cases are filed alleging violation of the interim orders passed by this Court on 28.3.2017 and 26.4.2017 in WAMP Nos.806, 1123, 1122 and 803 of 2017 in W.A. Nos. 376, 551, 548 and 373 of 2017 respectively.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, and Sri Kakara Venkat Rao, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-contemnors, would agree that, subsequent to the filing of the Contempt Cases, the aforesaid Writ Appeals were disposed of by a common order dated 5.1.2018. As these Contempt Cases are filed against the interlocutory orders in the Writ Appeals, and the main appeals have been finally disposed of later, the interlocutory orders would not survive on the disposal of the Writ Appeals; and, consequently, there would be no justification in now proceeding against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, for the alleged violation of the interim orders, after the main appeals have been finally disposed of. All the Contempt Cases are, accordingly, closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
