The case of the petitioners is that though they preferred statutory appeal before the 3rd respondent under Section 4 (A) of the A.P.Assigned Land (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977 on 23.07.2015 along with stay petition, against the impugned order dated 22.06.2015 passed by the 4th respondent; no orders are
passed by the 3rd respondent as on today. Aggrieved by the same present writ petition is filed.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.
Since statutory appeal is filed along with stay petition before the 3rd respondent, it is the duty of the 3rd respondent to dispose of the appeal or atleast consider the stay petition filed before him. In view of the above, the 3rd respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 23.07.2015, against the orders dated 22.06.2015 passed by the 4th respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the disposal of appeal there shall be stay of dispossession.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending shall stand closed.
