THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.38926 OF 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners was that the respondent authorities were not extending the minority status certificate of the second petitioner college.

By order dated 01.12.2015, this Court directed the first respondent, the State of Telangana, to consider the petitioners' request for renewal of the minority status of the second petitioner college and pass appropriate reasoned orders thereon. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Minorities Welfare placed before this Court a copy of the Memo dated 04.02.2016 issued by the Government of Telangana through its Minority Welfare Department extending the minority status of the second petitioner college for the academic year 2015-2016 subject to the condition that it would admit minority students to 70% of its seats. In the light of the afore-stated development, the cause in this writ petition no longer survives for consideration. The writ petition is accordingly closed.
