This writ petition is filed with the grievance that the respondents have not paid the retirement benefits of the petitioner. In paragraph 10 of the counter affidavit of respondent No.3 - Divisional Engineer, Transformers, Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited, Nellore, it is inter alia stated that in pursuance of the interim direction issued by this Court on 26.1.2007, the petitioner was paid a sum of Rs.8,87,702/- due to him as terminal benefits on 11.1.2008, vide cheque No.271962 dt.10.1.2008 under due acknowledgement. This submission is not controverted by the petitioner by filing any reply affidavit. At the hearing, Mr. S. Lakshmi Narayana Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, has also not disputed the above averment. In view of the above, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.
