Heard Mr.A.M.Qureshi for petitioner and the learned Standing counsel for 2nd and 3rd respondents. The petitioner complains against inaction in conducting election in constituting Managing Committee of Naickwadi Mosque at Kondapeta, Banganapalle, Kurnool District in pursuance of the steps initiated through Memo in F.No.11/KNL/K/2011/Z-IV dated 14.03.2018, as illegal and unconstitutional.

The Standing counsel referring to Memo dated 14.03.2018 submits that the steps are already initiated and it takes a minimum of six (06) months to complete the process.

This Court fails to understand the statement of the Standing counsel. The Act stipulates constitution of Committee, therefore time schedule ought to put in place, in such a way that Managing Committee are put in place in quick succession, by the time, the period of existing committee is over the new committee starts functioning.

This Court need not further advert to this aspect of the matter. The prayer since is against inaction, respondents 2 and 3 are directed to complete the elections in accordance with the Wakf Act, 1955 and rules as expeditiously as possible preferably within three (03) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
