Petitioner is placed under suspension by order dated 12.02.2018 and thereafter served with Charge Memo dated 02.05.2018. Charge Memo contains three charges, neglect of duties causing obstruction in raising and maintenance of avenue plantation, lack of supervision resulting in poor survival of plants and not staying at headquarters and trying to influence the competent authority regarding suspension. On 10.05.2018, petitioner submitted his explanation. This Writ Petition is filed alleging that the respondents are not taking further steps in finalizing the disciplinary proceedings and the petitioner is entitled to be given posting as Forest Section Officer, Mallacheruvu, Nalgonda District.

As the Charge Memo was dated 02.05.2018 and explanation was filed on 10.05.2018, it cannot be said that there is delay in concluding the disciplinary proceedings.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the disciplinary proceedings would be completed expeditiously. 5.

In view of the same, the disciplinary authority is directed to ensure completion of the disciplinary proceedings within a fixed time frame, preferably within five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to the petitioner cooperating in conducting the enquiry.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
