THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.19749 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed seeking to declare the inaction on the part of the 2nd respondent in disposing of LTR No.5/2016, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. There is no necessity to issue notice to respondents 3 and 4 since this Court is not going to adjudicate the case on merits. The limited grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that though he filed LTR No.5/2016 before the 2nd respondent in the month of October, 2016, till date no orders are passed. Hence, seeks a direction for early disposal of LTR. The same is not seriously opposed by the learned GP.

Having regard to the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to deal with LTR No.5/2016 and pass necessary orders thereon, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three to six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to mention that before passing any orders, the unofficial respondents herein shall also be heard.
