THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.17727 of 2016 ORDER:

In this writ petition, the petitioner is questioning the action of the 3rd respondent in maintaining of house suspects against the petitioners and harassing the petitioners by calling them to police station regularly as arbitrary and illegal.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners confined his arguments to the extent of giving a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the representation to be filed by the petitioners ventilating their grievance and informing that the case against them ended in acquittal.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioners are directed to file a representation before the respondentspolice informing that the case against them ended in acquittal and no case is pending against them. On filing such representation, the respondents 2 & 3 are directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
