THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.20478 of 2018 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleaders for Transport and Home appearing for the respondent No.1 to 3. Despite service of notice, none appeared for the fourth respondent.

A perusal of the material on record discloses that, as long back as on 25.09.2017 and 25.10.2017, petitioner herein made representations to the Transport Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner of Police-respondent Nos.1 and 2 herein, pointing out the following alleged violations on the part of the fourth respondent:

1. No fare charts are displayed that is visible to the passenger.

2. No driving licence is displayed that is visible to the passenger.

3. No meter is fitted.

4. No owner information and contract is displayed that is visible to the passenger.

5. Drivers have no uniform.

6. No First Aid box is visible.

7. No toll free number is visible for lodging complaint.

The grievance of the petitioner, in the present Writ Petition, is that, despite lapse of considerable length of time, except stating that no permission has been granted, the respondent authorities are not taking any action against the above mentioned violations. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleaders, this Court deems it appropriate to

dispose of the Writ Petition, by directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to look into the alleged violations, mentioned in the above said representations, and take further action, strictly in accordance with law against alleged violations. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
