HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.3144 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A2 to A6 seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.574 of 2012 on the file of V Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Nellore, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 r/w 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 21.06.2018 of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Women Police Station, SPSR Nellore District and submitted that after filing of charge sheet, C.C.No.574 of 2012 was registered and the same was ended in acquittal vide judgment dated 08.09.2014 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.574 of 2012 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed. 3.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
