HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.24971 OF 2004 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in not paying the graduation increments to the petitioner.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel brought to the notice of this Court that the entire issue was examined by the respondents in terms of orders passed in W.A.No.202 of 1988 dated 24.4.1982, and that in the form of circular dated 19.2.2008, it was made clear that the persons who were appointed on or after 24.4.1982 are not eligible for graduation increments.

Admittedly, the petitioner was appointed in the year 1989. Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for any graduation increments. There are no merits in this writ petition. 4.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any shall stand closed.
