This Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the Application of the petitioner dated 17.02.2010 for grant of mining lease for Laterite over an extent of Acs.10.00 in Survey No. 163(GL), Madireddypally Village, Nawabpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Mines & Geology.

It is the specific case of the petitioner that he made the Application as far back as on 17.02.2010 for grant of mining lease, but the same has not been considered so far. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner, the Writ Petition can be disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the Application of the petitioner within the specific timeframe.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the Application dated 17.02.2010 of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
