THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 23630 OF 2019 O R D E R :

The grievance of the petitioner is inaction on the part of the respondent authorities on the Application for allowing it to shift the sandalwood oil factory situated at D.No. 19-2-422, Chandulal Baradari Colony, Bahadurpura, Hyderabad in terms of Rule 7(1) of the A.P. Sandalwood Possession Rules, 1969, as applicable to the State of Telangana. The Application was made on 17.07.2019 followed up by the one dated 04.10.2019.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Forests.

Considering the nature of relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, it is appropriate to direct the District Forest Officer to pass orders on the Application of the petitioner.

The Writ Petition is accordingly, disposed of directing the 1st respondent - District Forest Officer to pass orders on the Application of the petitioner dated 17.07.2019 and intimate it the decision taken thereon, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications if any shall stand closed.
