Heard the counsel for petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for Assignment, for respondents.

The petitioner had filed this Contempt Case alleging wilful disobedience of the order dt.11.04.2016 in WP.No.11874 of 2016, wherein this Court had directed the 1st respondent herein to finalise the issue relating to assignment of land to petitioner and other landless poor persons on the basis of enquiry conducted by the 2nd respondent regarding nature of land and rights over the land in Survey Nos.80 to 89 of Polekurru Village, Tallarevu Mandal, East Godavari District, and communicate his decision to petitioner and other applicants. 3.

In the counter-affidavit filed by respondents it is stated that an endorsement dt.12.04.2017 has been issued by the 1st respondent after rejecting the request of petitioner and informing the petitioner that no Government land is available in the above survey numbers for the purpose of assignment.

In this view of the matter, the Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Contempt Case, are closed.
