Ch. Sreehari E. 38328, Proof Reader Grade I v. The Apsrtc Rep By Vice Chairman And Managing
HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No.12571 OF 2007 ORDER:
The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to declare the action of the respondents, in not promoting the petitioner to the post of Leading Hand inspite of his being eligible and in not fixing his seniority, as being arbitrary and illegal. By order, in WPMP No.15659 of 2007 dated 18.06.2007, the respondents were directed to consider the case of the petitioner, along with others, for being promoted to the post of Leading Hand, if he was otherwise eligible, and if any vacancies were available, within a period of four weeks.
Both Sri S.M. Subhan, Learned Counsel for the petitioner, and Sri N. Vasudeva Reddy, Learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation, would submit that the petitioner's case was considered for promotion to the post of Leading Hand, and his candidature was rejected. In view of the order passed by the Corporation rejecting the petitioner's claim for promotion, the cause in this Writ Petition does not survive, and the Writ Petition has become infructuous. ] The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed. No costs. ________________________________ RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ Date: 17.09.2016 MRKR
