According to the petitioner, his father expired while in service on 26.09.2014. It appears father of the petitioner was allotted to the State of Andhra Pradesh. As a dependant of his father petitioner submitted a representation on 01.07.2015 addressed to the Director General of Police, TS.SPF, Secunderabad (3rd respondent) to provide appointment on compassionate grounds. A further representation was also made on 01.12.2016 addressed to the Director General, AP SPF, Arundalpet, Guntur. Alleging inaction on the representations submitted by the petitioner for provision of compassionate appointment, this writ petition is filed.

Since representations submitted by the petitioner are pending consideration and so far no decision is taken, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Director General, AP. SPF, Arundalpet, Guntur (4th respondent) to consider the claim of the petitioner for provision of compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
