THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.AMARNATH GOUD WRIT PETITION NO.20575 OF 2007 ORDER:

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner and possessor of land admeasuring Ac.1-24 guntas in Sy.No.293 of Repakagommu Village, Velerupadu Mandal, Khammam District. While so, his land was acquired under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 for the purpose of construction of Polavaram Project. An Award was passed and the payments were about to be made, at that juncture, upon an objection filed by respondent No.3 herein, the payments were stopped. Challenging the same, the present writ petition was filed.

The first respondent filed counter-affidavit, wherein it is stated that an Award has been passed and compensation amount has been paid to the petitioner through a cheque. 3.

In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
