ORDER

Heard Ms V.Uma Devi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri B.Nalin Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

This writ petition is filed challenging the Award dated 27.07.1996 in I.D.No.186 of 1990 on the file of the Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Warangal.

The 2nd respondent is the workman. While he was working as Technician in the petitioner-organization, his services were terminated vide proceedings dated 23.4.1987. Challenging the same, the 2nd respondent raised I.D.No.186 of 1990 before the 1st respondent-Industrial Tribunal-cumLabour Court, Warangal, which by its order dated 27.7.1996 directed the petitioner-organization to reinstate the 2nd respondent into service with continuity of service, but without back wages.

Today, when the matter is listed for hearing, it is reported by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent that the matter has been compromised and petitioner-organization is willing to pay an amount of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees twenty

five lakhs) to the 2nd respondent in lieu of reinstatement and both the parties have filed a joint Memo on 4.12.2017 before this Court.

Recording the said compromise, the Writ Petition is closed. The petitioner-organization shall pay the said amount of Rs.25,00,000/- to the 2nd respondent-workman as full and final settlement in lieu of reinstatement, within a period of two weeks from today. It is needless to say that if the 2nd respondent-workman is entitled to rebate under the Income Tax Act, the same shall be extended to him.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
