ORDER

Challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in registering FIR No.237 of 2016 against the petitioners for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 506 IPC and Sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act on the complaint lodged by the 3rd respondent, the present writ petition is filed. A reading of the complaint discloses a prima facie case for registration of crime.

This Court by order dated 22.12.2016 granted interim stay and seeking vacation of the same WVMP No.56 of 2017 is filed by the 3rd respondent stating that by virtue of the said order, further proceedings are stayed.

Since crime is registered, the 2nd respondent is directed to continue the investigation by following due process of law and he shall not harass the petitioners.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
