HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI THOTTATHIL B. RADHAKRISHNAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT WRIT PETITION No.21244 OF 2018 ORDER: (ORAL) (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice S.V.Bhatt) The petitioners challenge the legality of G.O.Ms.No.33 dated 11.12.2017 amending sub-rule (1) in Rule 2 and sub-rule (5) in Rule 5 of the Government Orders dated 11.12.2017 and 10.10.2017 respectively.

On 25.06.2018, at the request of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the writ petition was adjourned to 09.07.2018. The writ petition underwent two more adjournments either for want of appearance or at the request of petitioners. The writ petition when is listed today, Mr. CH.A.B.Satyanarayana, holding for Mr. M.Srinivasa Rao, informs the Court that the petitioners are contemplating to engage another Advocate by taking no objection from Mr. M.Srinivasa Rao and, therefore, the writ petition may be adjourned.

Having perused the proceedings sheet and the number of adjournments taken by the petitioners at admission, we see no reason to accede to the request of petitioners. The ground staged does not appear to be a good reason for granting adjournment. The counsel now appearing since is not proceeding with the matter and there is no other counsel representing the petitioner, we are satisfied that the writ petition can be dismissed for default.

The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed for default. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, stand closed.
