THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 23748 of 2019 O R D E R:

Petitioner-Fishermen Cooperative Society asserts that it is the leaseholder of the Tank known as Hanumanthapalli Large Tank and the name of the said Tank is sought to be changed to Chandaram Uracheruvu at the behest of respondent No.4. Its apprehension is that in view of change of the name of the Tank, the respondents may interfere with its rights.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Fisheries appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 3.

It may be noted that mere change of the name of the Tank cannot obliterate the rights of the petitioner. As the petitioner filed this writ petition on mere apprehension, the writ petition is closed giving liberty to the petitioner to ventilate its grievance, if any, as and when cause of action arises.
