Heard both sides. At the request of both the counsel, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission.

2. Grievance of the petitioner is that he made a representation dated 21.03.2016 to the second respondent for re-issue of arms license, but the same is not being considered till date. Without entering into the merits, and having regard to the facts and circumstances, of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on the representation dated 21.03.2016 made by the petitioner seeking re-issue of arms license, as early as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
