In all these writ petitions, the grievance of the petitioners is that their assignments have been cancelled by the order of the Collector, Visakhapatnam - 2nd respondent in Rc.No.2109/1998/ A10/E1, dated 14.07.2015. A reading of the said order is quite disturbing in the sense that a public authority, who was former M.L.A. and holding the responsible position got assignments made to himself and his family members, thereby occupied about an extent of Acs.100.00 cents of land and consequently deprived several eligible landless poor persons. The petitioners and other assignees have filed an appeal before the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration - 6th respondent on 27.07.2015. The present writ petitions are filed seeking early date for hearing of the said appeals before the 6th respondent, as the petitioners expect that the order of the 2nd respondent would be implemented by dispossessing them.

Since the appeals are pending before the 6th respondent, I deem it appropriate to direct the 6th respondent to fix an early date, preferably between 17.08.2015 and 22.08.2015, and take up the appeals as well as the stay petitions and pass appropriate orders, at least to the extent of stay petitions.

Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Revenue Department, Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad - 6th respondent to fix a date, as directed above, and pass appropriate orders on the appeals, at least to the extent of stay petitions.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
