Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents submit that the issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by the order of this Court in W.P.No.16717 of 2019, dated 06.08.2019.

Therefore, for the reasons alike, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Civil) strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999 and also G.O.Ms.No.66, dated 31.01.1991 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
