THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.35766 OF 2015 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

The petitioner seeks a mandamus for amendment in the record of rights. However, except a legal notice, dated 28.07.2015, I do not find any application made by the petitioner to the competent authority under the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971.

Therefore, it is for the petitioner to make appropriate application before the competent authority and if such an application is made, the competent authority is required to consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
