THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE N.BALAYOGI CONTEMPT CASE No.1521 of 2017 ORDER: (per SK,J) This contempt case was instituted alleging wilful disobedience to the order dated 19.04.2017 passed by this Court in W.P.M.P.No.1505 of 2017 in W.P.No.9280 of 2015. By the said order, this Court directed the authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Village Revenue Officer, if he was otherwise eligible and suitable, without reference to the pendency of the writ petition.

The District Revenue Officer, Karimnagar, the fifth respondent herein, issued Endorsement dated 14.08.2017 to the petitioner informing him that no promotions had been effected after receipt of the aforestated interim order and while effecting promotions to the posts of Village Revenue Officers from the cadre of eligible Village Revenue Assistants, the candidature of the petitioner would also be considered as per rules in force and the petitioner would get promotion as the Village Revenue Officer within a short period. In the light of this stand of the fifth respondent, we find no disobedience, much less wilful disobedience, to the order passed by this Court warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.

The contempt case is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs. ____________________ JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR __________________ JUSTI CE N.BALAYOGI Date:08.09.2017 GJ
