O R D E R

Alleging that the 3rd respondent is calling the petitioner to the police station and insisting him to settle the family dispute with 4th respondent, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions of 3rd respondent stating that 4th respondent is the wife of the petitioner, she lodged complaint on 14.06.2016 and the same was entered in the General Diary and the enquiry is under progress and that after completion of enquiry, necessary action will be taken as per law. With regard to allegations of the petitioners, it is stated as under:

" It is submitted that the contention of the petitioner that the respondent No.3 - Station House Officer, Ganneruvaram Police Station, Karimnagar District called the petitioner to the police station and directed him to settle the family disputes with the respondent No.4 - Sinde Krishnaveni @ Sunith is incorrect and baseless. It is submitted that the allegations of the petitioner that on 13.06.2018 the respondent No.3 called the petitioner and detained him in the police station by directing him to pay Rs.10 lakhs to the respondent No.4, is incorrect, baseless, far from truth and has been created for the purpose of filing the present writ petition.

It is submitted that the 3rd respondent did not direct the petitioner to pay the alleged Rs.10 lakhs to the respondent No.4 by detaining the petitioner in the police station." Recording the above statement, the writ petition is disposed of. It goes without saying that police shall not detain the parties, except in accordance with law.
