THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.39150 of 2014 ORDER:

In the present Writ Petition, petitioners are praying for issuance of a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to award interest on the market value, solatium and additional market value from the date of award i.e. 10.08.1982 till the date of realization instead of from the date of applications under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

In support of the said claim, learned counsel for the petitioners places reliance on the judgment of this Court in the case of Government of Andhra Pradesh represented by its Secretary, Irrigation & CAD Department, and others v. Musalikoppu Janardhan and others1. The same is not disputed by the learned Government Pleader.

In that view of the matter, following the above said judgment and for the reasons recorded therein, this Writ Petition is also allowed in terms thereof.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs. _________________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J 23rd MARCH, 2017.
