THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM Writ Petition Nos.44964, 45797, 38303, 38423, 38567 & 38644 of 2016 And 26400 & 26457 of 2015 COMMON ORDER: {Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} In these writ petitions, the petitioners have all been appointed to various posts pursuant to the order passed by the Learned Singe Judge, in W.P.No.11639 of 2012 and batch dated 09.12.2013, fixing the maximum weightage for in-service contract labourers to 20 marks with 2 marks for each year of completed service. As the order of the Division Bench, in W.A.No.110 of 2014 and batch dated 03.06.

2014, required the respondent-Transmission Corporation, and Distribution Companies, to issue a fresh notification calling for applications from eligible candidates, the respondent-Transmission Corporation and the Distribution Companies issued notices calling upon the petitioners herein to show cause why their services should not be terminated since the earlier selections, made pursuant to the order of the Learned Single Judge, had been set aside by the Division Bench. However, in the light of the interim order passed in these writ petitions, all the writ petitioners are continuing in service.

In the light of the order passed by us in Review W.A.M.P(sr). No.110362 of 2015 in W.A.No.110 of 2014 & batch dated 13.10.2017, setting aside the directions issued by the earlier Division Bench in W.A.No.110 of 2014 and batch dated 03.06.2014 to the limited extent fresh examination was directed to be conducted, the respondentTransmission Corporation and the Distribution Companies are no longer obligated to conduct a fresh examination or to cancel the earlier notifications. As the show cause notices, impugned in these writ petitions, were issued only because the earlier order of the Division bench required them to conduct an examination afresh, and the said

order of the Division bench to this limited extent has been set aside, the said show cause notices are set aside as they were issued only in compliance with the order of the Division Bench in W.A.No.110 of 2014 and batch dated 03.06.2014.

All the Writ Petitions are disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
