THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.22710 OF 2012
O R D E R
This writ petition was filed assailing the action of the Excise authorities in not considering the petitioners' representations dated 30.06.2012 and 11.07.2012. A consequential direction was sought to them to renew the petitioners' licences for a further block period of five years.
The Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Sangareddy, Medak District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that the licences granted to the petitioners were valid only up to 30.09.2012 and cancellation orders were passed in respect of their licences as long back as on 26.05.2011. He further stated that the cancellation orders had not been challenged and therefore attained finality. Apart from having been subjected to cancellation, the fact remains that the licences granted to the petitioners expired long ago. In the light of the above, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition and it is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
