ORDER : (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief: ".... to issue a writ or order preferably in the nature of Writ of Mandamus and declare the action of the 1st respondent in ignoring all together the cases for promotion of all such employees who are either born in Andhra Pradesh/born but settled in Andhra Pradesh and considering only those persons who are either born in Telangana State/Domicile of Telangana State for promotion to higher categories of posts as contrary to law and unconstitutional, and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to consider and promote all eligible employees including the petitioners herein for promotion to higher posts strictly as per law and seniority and without reference to place of birth or domicile of region of the State of Andhra Pradesh with all consequential benefits like seniority, arrears of pay etc., and consequently pass such other order or orders ....."

At the hearing, Sri R. Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.1, fairly submitted that the issues raised in this writ petition are squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in P.B. KARUNAKAR AND OTHERS v. THE STATE OF TELANGANA AND OTHERS1.

In the light of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the aforementioned judgment with a direction that the observations and directions contained therein shall form part of this order. No order as to costs. 1 2018 (3) ALD 470 : 2018 (2) ALT 671
