HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI I.A.NO.2 OF 2019 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION NO.6990 OF 2019 COMMON ORDER:

The petitioners, who are A-1 to A-7 in D.V.C.No.69 of 2019 on the file of the XI Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad at Kukatpally, filed this Criminal Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to quash the proceedings in the above case registered for the offence punishable under Section 12(1) of the Protection of Women under Domestic Violence Act, 2005. During pendency of the Criminal Petition, I.A.No.2 of 2019 came to be filed by the second respondent to record the compromise and to compound the offences. Along with the petition, a joint memo came to be filed, inter alia, stating that at the intervention of elders and well wishers, the parties have settled their disputes in terms of the compromise. The said joint memo has been supported by the affidavit of the second respondent.

Today, both the parties are present before this Court and they were identified by their respective counsel. This Court, when examined, both the parties have stated that at the instance of the elders, they have settled the matter out of the Court and the second respondent has no objection for quashing the proceedings against the petitioners/A-1 to A-7.

In the light of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the compromise memo filed by both the parties is recorded and I.A.No.2 of 2019 is ordered.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed in terms of compromise, and the proceedings in D.V.C.No.69 of 2019 on the file of the XI Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad at Kukatpally, against the petitioners/A-1 to A-7 are hereby quashed. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
